ASUS Republic of Gamers Announces ROG Community Challenge

 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ROG Community Challenge to
launch at DreamHack Summer 2016

• Onsite & online ROG Join the Republic Community Challenge participants will be put through unique Counter-Strike: Global Offensive challenges to qualify for selection
• Pro-gamer Maikel ‘Maikelele’ Bill will be the team captain at the DreamHack Summer 2016 event, and will select team members based on their performances
• Additional ROG Community Challenges to be held at gamescom, Taipei Challenge, PAX West, Paris Games Week and PAX Aus

Jönköping, Sweden (17 June, 2016) — ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the first ROG Join the Republic Community Challenge at DreamHack Summer 2016, which will be held from 18th to 21st June, 2016. It features eight Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams, each helmed by some of the biggest names in gaming and eSports. Maikel ‘Maikelele’ Bill will be the team captain at DreamHack Summer 2016 and will select team members based on their performances in several unique challenges in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. These qualifying challenges are open to players online as well as all onsite visitors at each ROG Join the Republic Community Challenge.  

Future ROG Join the Republic Community Challenges will be held at gamescom, Taipei Challenge, PAX West, Paris Games Week and PAX Aus. All teams will compete in the Grand Final, which will be held at the end of the year.

27th to 28th August 2016: Taipei Challenge in Taipei, Taiwan

27th to 31st October 2016: Paris Games Week in Paris, France
4th to 6th November 2016: PAX Aus in Melbourne, Australia
