View Full Version : Why is there no driver updater for ASUS motherboards?

Actually, people are finding it hard to update motherboard drivers and we don't really know when the new version of our driver releases. So I made this topic in order to make a poll (sorry can't find where it is) to vote on the option for ASUS to release a driver updating software for gamers - who really need updated drivers in order to make their PC run functionally. Hope this kind of software will be the next generation for ASUS to make other steps in their way.

Hi Paul,

Have you installed AI Suite II? It has update software in there.

Update the BIOS, I don't see where the A1 Suite has any option to update drivers.

Welcome usrPaul from Vietnam.... glad you could join us.

Nice 3.6+OC .... are you having any issues with your V ?
or you just looking for that one more little ounce of zoom?

If that (when you get the 'drivers' updated..ect) improves your rig
please let the rest of the V owners know...
Im running bios506 with a t1100 ... but ... you know the rest .. if it tweaks.
let us know.best of luck.c.

Dear mate, I haven't OCed my CPU yet ... it's original from Black version of AMD Phenom II x6 1090T ...
Your V? I don't get it...
BTW, I have a good habit that update my drivers to the lastest version so it can handle things smoothly (atleast) and keep my PC from out-of-dated condition.

Thanks for your replying,

Paul

For Bios updates you have the AI Suite but for general drivers I use Driver Genius and have recommended it to a couple people. Yes I do understand you have to pay but it's well worth it just in the time savings alone, but it also found driver updates not listed anywhere I could find them myself! and saved me days of hunting just to find out that the ones I could find weren't the newest. The other benefit is that if you get an unstable update it has backed up the last good set and it's easy to revert back.

You can't even know the driver version nor the driver of Driver Genius (and other tools in general) are correct to install since it only finds things are not designed for your own motherboard and sometimes BSOD is the result you will get.

Funny I have a lot of computers that I use Driver Genius on and sofar in the last 6 years it's only downloaded 1 beta driver that gave a problem as well as never once downloaded a driver for something other than the board it was installed on. As to not knowing which driver its downloading your definitely wrong there and obviously haven't even used the program because it gives you a list of what it's found and what you have with a conformation to update or not for each driver. But if you don't like an answer that others have, you don't have to give them a bunch of excuses or lie about it when you have no idea in the first place. I say all of this with respect and sorry if you get the wrong impression but truth is truth.
