Hi there,

I'm looking for an air cooler that will fit on my Gene-Z board. I'm finding a lot of conflicting info regarding what will fit. Hopefully some fellow owners can help me out. I'm looking for one that will not block the RAM slots(I use all 4), and not be in the way of the 1st pcie slot. The gigantic coolers (NH-14, Silver Arrow, etc) I'm not really interested in.

Here are my system specs;

i5 2500 @ 4.3GHz (I won't OC any higher than this)
16 GB Mushkin Redline
Maximus IV Gene-Z/Gen3
XFX 7970 Black Edition
Corsair Force GT 120GB SSD
Seasonic 760
Corsair 650D Case

Sorry if this topic has been beaten to death, but I just cant seem to win at teh internet today. Thanks for reading.

Welcome to the forums! I'm sure if somebody doesn't answer soon HiVizMan will when he wakes up enough.

Go with a Corsair H100 ( yes you ear it from me ) your case is design for it; you can also use a Cooler Master 212+ or Hyper 612 ( I prefer the base of the 612, it's flat, more easy to apply the paste than a 212 with exposed heat pipes.

@Daemon - Thanks for the welcome :) I wish I had found this place sooner, lots of great info here.

@Area 66 - I currently have a Corsair H80 installed. The thing is only about a month old and the profile selector no longer works. The fans are stuck at about 3/4 full speed and are ruining my hearing, lol. An RMA will take about 3 weeks round trip from where I live. I've lost faith in the H80 and would like to go with a safe and reliable air cooler, before I RMA the H80. I can't go 3 weeks without my PC =P
