Hi , your links to egg don't work for many of them, I see you choose 1,65 volts ram, what kind of motherboard you use.. also the link to Daz, show only a general page not an item.

Waht case do you have, I ask because I'm sure we can find better than this Zalman system, also I will replace the PSU with a AX 1200, way better

The case is something I'm trying to figure out.
I have access to a table top laser and I will be engraving a theme in to the sides and or front so I'd like a big lexan window or a solid door to work on.
Themes I've been thinking of ,
Skyrim: laser cut the side either to a dragon or logo and then logos of the equipment thats in the box. A pressed logo into a leather strap worked somewhere into the box.
BF3: Logo cut into side with actual holes shot into box * I have friends that own gun ranges*
OR a Res Evil. I have worked on the RE2, RE4 and RE5 and SOON RE6... but dont say anything ;) I have a number of film swag I could build into this box easily.
OR a halflife box...
I could go on forever... :)
What I like: Easy to work with
http://www.xoxide.com/nzxt-m59case.html
http://www.xoxide.com/antec-df35darkfleet-case.html
http://www.xoxide.com/nzxt-lexascase.html
Large amount of space for modding.
http://www.xoxide.com/coolermaster-haf932case.html
Options with more then some modding:
This one is very nice on the inside but the side cover is almost useless to me.. :(
http://www.xoxide.com/sentey-gs-6500-burton-fulltowercase.html
This one is nice but the side window would have to be built.
http://www.xoxide.com/aerocool-strike-xgtblackedition-midtowercase.html
Nice but no side window
http://www.xoxide.com/aerocool-vs3advancemidtower-case.html
I like this one but it's seems tight and I will be running two 480s.
http://www.xoxide.com/nzxt-vulcan-matxcase.html
I only post this one to ask if these or similar dials are available somewhere, I'd like to see info on heat and such.
http://www.xoxide.com/apevia-xcruiser2-black-case.html
This one kinda grow on me :) I'd laser cut the fan shroud from the side and add lexan
http://www.xoxide.com/thermaltake-chasermk1-fulltowercase.html
This one is greeting pricy but I like it
http://www.xoxide.com/cooler-master-haf-x.html
Last but not least
http://www.xoxide.com/zalman-zmachine-gt1000-black.html
but for 399 for a box I'd just get there 599 one with liquid cooling in it already.
Sorry for the LONG ass post, please let me know what you think or other options.

Ok I've emailed him about the MB water block.
You had asked about the high voltage ram.
Now I'm not sure if I need 2133. The MB says it take 1600 and 2133 OC. Does that mean that I can get 1600 and OC it to 2133 or what?
Whats the difference both the same price

I'm reading this now to get some understanding

You get it, or near...acording to AMD spec, RAM should run at a max of 1333, so even at 1600 they are OC, now, since you can play with the clock of the CPU, you don't need high frequency RAM, 1600 mhz will be fast enough and a good value ( they cost less) aside, your board will have more chance to boot the first time. Now get 1.5 volts RAM so if need you can always increase the voltage a little bit. Since you choose a Crosshair, I will go with Red RAM, Gskill have plenty of them

Ok so I'm learning :)
the red ram is going to be blue as I have planned on cool blue lights in it.

there is one with a lower latency but its out of stalk.
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231536
worth the wait?
Now I'm looking at power supplies.
the one you pointed out is most likely what I'll get but I've always liked the kingwin way of cable management, the screw in plugs and glow are very nice and looks great
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231445
but now they seem to have lost there patent to Rosewill.

I know this is nit picky but I like the look.

Please stay away of those Rosewill PSU .... get something reliable, something like a Corsair or Seasonic , the look,; peoples who know about PSU will be open mouth if you show them a AX 1200 , not a Xmas Light Decoration like this Rosewill

so now just the box and liquid cooling to take care of :)
and on a side note here's the liquid cooling for the 2 480's :)

Well last night I put some thought into the water distribution .
here's a simple jpg of what I want.
yes there will be an external water res, that is why I like the Zalman reserator.
This will be made of copper soldered together **and polished to an inch of its life *
unless I can find and pressure test plexie tube and UV reactive adhesive..
let me know what you think

Oh boy BIG NO here, your schema show parallel distribution, you risk to have water running faster in some place and slower ( if not stop ) in other place. You need to plug them in series. The out go in the in of the other component. For your Motherboard block, you feed water at the bottom not at the top, to avoid air trap

wow, film work has eaten my life again... I'm currently working on a pilot of Beauty and the Beast and I'm first assist SPFX :) yes living the dream..16 hrs + hours a day.. my first week back in three months 101 hours.. this week 6 days..100 hours.. I'm fing tired but have money for my new compy :)
I have a question about flow meters. Does my Crosshair V Formula have ports for temp and or flow sensors. I did read something about changing something in the bios that make the impeller of the flow meter read as RPMs.
I'm looking at this INS-FM17N Coolant Flow Meter (http://www.koolance.com/water-cooling/product_info.php?product_id=740)
if there a way to run three of these?
also I know what you said about a water manifold..NO.. well I've been putting more thought into that.
I have found this 1" Copper Manifold w/ 1/2" Crimp Ball Valves, 3 outlets (http://www.pexsupply.com/Sioux-Chief-672XV0342-1-Copper-Manifold-w-1-2-Crimp-Ball-Valves-3-outlets-5435000-p)
If I induce water from both ends flow will be even with a "U" on both ends going to a "T" joint to a 1/'2 in. I intend to have this on both sides
of the computer. As for condensation I have the opportunity to encase these manifolds in a clear silicon resin to stop that from happening.
Sorry for my out of the box thinking but I'd like to push the limits. I have LOTS of other industrial ideas for water cooling that I use in film and TV.
thanks for any help :)
I'm about 2 weeks away from build.
The chassis goes in Monday for Nickle plating and Daz should have my north bridge cooler after her gets back from his trip.
I'm officially done with this show as of Friday and will rest for at least a week :)

Well an update.. sadly after maybe 4 months my first GPU has failed. No signal and windows doesn't see two gtx 480
The water temp never got over 35c.. core temp never got over 46c. Sadly the cards warranties are voided b/c of the water block..
Any one ever have a dissapearing GPU b4? I can't beleve this failed with out watching.

I've had a water GPU fail on two occasions: Once was an acetal GPU block cover that leaked where it mated to the block and killed the card below it. The second time I just had the block over tightened and simply loosening the block a bit allowed it to work.
So I wouldn't say that your card is dead just yet. I would drain and extract the cards and carefully inspect them. If you used any colored fluid then you should be able to inspect for any slow leaks. You might try removing the water block and see if any TIM has gone where it shouldn't. If you still have the air cooler you could try switching back to see if perhaps the water block is causing a short somewhere?
I would say that if you cannot find any reason why the failure is your fault then I would restore the card to stock and RMA. If there is obvious damage from coolant or any other indication that there is user induced damage then I wouldn't bother as they will just reject it anyway.

Thanks for some hope :)
the money/buying another 480 in NOT a problem as they are 200 each now.
I just have no time for the next three months to test and tune as I'm back on another feature.
Maybe i'll upgrade to a pair of 580's at xmas :)
It just frustrating that something that i build worked extremely well and then just stopped...
I'll post later
thanks again.

Hello all :) UPDATE
Well it's been a very busy few weeks and have had time to deal with this problem of the missing card...
Yes it was the actual weight of the cards that caused the top one to pull out just enough to no read...
I push/reseated them both and the top 480 returned and works once again :)
I have a cut piece of wooden dowel as a support and will change that to UV acrylic when I get a chance.
So if anyone has one if not two of more water blocked GPU's I suggest that you support them the best way you can.
Thanks again for this rooms support when I was losing my mind :)
