So for my 18th birthday, I want to get a new rig, with the Thermaltake armor V4 BlackEdition Case. i want to cut the RoG Logo in the side, put plexiglass on it in 2 layers and inbetween the layers have Red LED lights on the Red part and have a black>grey finish on the black part with backlights inbetween these layers.
so my question is: what would be the best way of cutting into the case?

Hoi Syber,
Een dremel, dat werkt het meest makkelijk. Ik heb ook net m'n HAF X wat gemod en de dremel en boormachine gebruikt!
in English:
A dremel works fine.

PS Waarom een Midi Tower ? Als je straks wilt upgraden is dan een Bigtower niet interessanter ? Makkelijker grote Videokaarten te plaatsen, betere Airflow, makkelijker kabelmanagement.... Zo maar wat gedachten. :)
Why a Midi Tower? I you want to upgrade later on is a Bigtower not more suitable? Easier to fit large size GPU's, better Airflow and easier cable management. Just some thoughts!

ja ik neem de Maximus IV Gene-z dus heb ik niet een hele grote case nodig. maar zal er wel aan denken
Im going to get the maximus IV Gene-Z so i dont really need a huge case. But I will consider a big tower

If you're confident in your shop skills the above will do.
Me, I don't mind the shop work at all, I just find it hard to find all the time to do all the work myself with a job and all my other hobbies. I'm also very critical about the work I do, and I hate the little imperfections so I took my work to a local Metal laser cutting shop to do all the work professionally so it looks clean. All I did was the Illustrator work, and they converted the scaling from my illustrator file to their cad format. It was a lot cheaper than I thought.
Here's a pic of one of the 120mm ROG Fan Grills I had them cut out, I've already painted this one in black. All the other pics are on my link to my site.

18 ...gush I will give all I own to return at 18 ........
I used a dremel on mine to cut out the necessary panels, depends what the case is made of but buy a LOT of metal cutting disks if you're going to use a dremel (you can get like a pack of 150 for like 1-3£/$/Euro), for me it's easy and precise but then I always did like precision tools and doing the work myself, no shame in having a pro do it for you :) I probably would have had a pro do mine but I was only cutting out squares / rectangles for fans & top rad lol.

Unless you are very handy with the dremel I would find some place that has a waterjet. They program the cut into the computer that runs the waterjet and the machine does all the work. Nice clean edges. Will look very professional.

If you use a dremel with a diamond tip and a panograph you can leverage the control and motion to achieve a very smooth curve and detailed pattern. The key is at least a 2:1 tracing ratio. Image at 2x to the 1x final cut. Or just breakout your plasma cutter and keep your visor down.
