I am building my first Gaming PC and have what is likely a simple question, but I can't find a definitive answer anywhere. Most tutorials I reviewed that suggest a motherboard POST test prior to assembly show an air cooler attached to the processor. My problem is, I purchased a Corsair H100 liquid cooling solution and don't want to hook that up to the processor for the simple POST test. Intel LGA 2011 processors no longer deliver with a stock cooler, so I either must go out an purchase a third party air cooler for a 10 second POST test, or do the test without a cooler at all.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations?

You do not want to run your LGA 2011 CPU without a cooler ever.
