Hello everybody,
I'm interested In buying ASUS motherboard but I don't know which one to buy the ones I'm interested in are;
• Maximus IV Extreme
• Maximus IV GENE-Z
• Maximus IV Extreme-Z
• Maximus V GENE
I'm Interested in getting a pure gaming motherboard but I don't know which is the best of these because "Republic of Gamers" doesn't have a product comparison, But please can you assist me and tell me which one should I really buy (prices doesn't matter).
= = = What I'm going to Install on the Motherboard = = =
• 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7 Processor - Core i7-2700K(3.5G,L3:8MB,iGPU,4C,rev.D2)
• GDDR5 1.5 GB/2GB Graphics Card Firepro/Nvidia SLI
• 16 GB RAM DDR3
P.S. I do not wish to over clock my computer just all standard.
Thank you very much for your time and co-operation

Hey Antartika,
If you go to the main ASUS website for the motherboards, like here: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/Maximus_V_GENE/
Underneath the text on the top right there's a 'add to compare list' button - click that then search the other motherboards and add them too. :)
If you want just one graphics card and are not going to overclock, then I suggest the Maximus IV GENE-Z or Maximus V GENE. The Extreme boards will not offer you extra benefit as their features are meant for enthuiast overclockers. The V is obviously newer than the IV with features like BIOS Flashback, native USB 3.0 and SupremeFX III audio. :)

It can be helpful in certain situations. If you are having trouble and your ISP is otherwise good then it might be worth a shot.

If you are indeed buying a gene mATX board, then I suggest you use the onboard network card so you have an extra pcie lane for any upgrades in the future.

Well you mentioned price doesn't matter... lol... but yeah I heard some friends online that play MMO they have a T1 ethernet adapter connected... I'm sure thats a little over kill but from the exprience I had with FFO (Final Fantasy Online) is that Beseiged a event in a particular area like Whitegate.. (Sorry I'm sort of a hardcore in FF series cos I grew up from it since 8-bit NES... rofl...)
And most of their ethernet adapter as far as I've looked up in newegg.com is that they mostly have cisco linksys T1 cards costs from $400+ to $3000+ ... which I know it's usually for business and other networking business like ISP... I'm sure that's a little too extreme but I've met people do extreme things for their enjoyment of gaming... with MMO...
But I would think that if ASUS is basically specialties of overclockers I'd think that it's in the right alley to overclock internet speed connection and lower latency lol... :p Sorry for going a bit to extreme...
