Is it true that the Asus easy utility fails with early bioses?
cause I've just stuffed 1 Bios chip and nothing seems to fix it, so I am very wary of updating the other at all. Very disappointing.

WOW > I persisted and FUXD it! had to rename the file M4E same as on the disc and used ROG connect in a powered down state.
It flashed, so I renamed the latest 901 to M4E and it worked too - : )
But is there an issue with easy flash or is it that the files need to be renamed?

Hi all,
Now what do I need to do to flash my Maximus IV Extreme ...
This what I have done so far
1. Flash drive formatted to Fat 32 with 077 Bios installed ( I think you have to rename it current bios 1303 on MB)
2. I put the flash drive in the front USB etc nothing
3. I put the flash drive in the back of the mother ROJ Connect but pushed the button but nothing happen
Just a little helpppppppppppppp,
Thanks,
Mack 4033
With the USB stick connected boot the system, go into the UEFI > Tools and select EZ Flash.

Each BIOS update completely replaces the previous one so you only need to apply whichever one you would like to use. The best method to update is to freshly reformat a USB flash drive with FAT32(sometimes a factory FAT32 or any NTFS can cause problems). Put the BIOS file on the drive and insert it before rebooting. In the BIOS you can use the flash utility and it will pick up the file from the drive.
