I'm about to build a new computer pretty quick here, been saving up for it and got about 800 saved so far, which doesn't really scratch the surface of what I want to do yet. I was origionally thinking of going with an Ivy bridge i73770k processor with a maximus v gene board but I didn't like what I was reading about it overheating to 75 degree's centagrade when watercooled and over clocked.

So as a result I'm interested in an AMD3+ socket motherboard with pcie 3.0 but all I've been able to find with that chipset socket is pcie 2.0 Does anyone know when an amd chipset motherboard that will stack up to the Maximus V Gene will be available? I'm hoping that I can build my new rig come september when the amd chips get released, and by then I should have all the money i need for a slick watercooled rig that I've always wanted :)

Welcome to ROG Fonzo ...

And please let me start by saying ... hahahahahhahaaa .. the Max V. I am 100% an amd guy .. but ..
Im thinking .. that msiDell probably wrote that ... overheating .. hahaha .. the ink on the boxes isnt dry yet ...
thats not the reason to skip That V ...

You should of heard the Howls about all the reasons the CrossHair sucked .... until we Actually got Our
hands on it .. and ironed out all the in and outs ........ listen ... no howling.

As to your original question .... drat ... no. I have very high hopes ... especially PileDriver ... If what is
anticipated actually comes to fruition ... Intel could soon be The Also-Ran. (gpu/cpu combined .. in simple terms.)
There goes the neighborHood and the $1000 dollar graphics cards ... hahahaa .. maybe.c.
