I have a problem where dimms a-1 and a-2 are not recognized by cpuid and doesnt recognize memory. example: 12 gb installed, shows 8- 6 gb installed shows 4. i pulled the mobo from the case and found dimms a-1 and a-2 were bad. I pulled cpu and resat after checking for bent pins, resat water block not too tight and not too loose, switched ram around, cleared cmos and bios, did memok!, still nothing recognizes a-1 and a-2. I can never get asus on the phone and described what i did in an email to them and it was like i never said anything. their reply was stuff i already did and Newegg won't rma it cause its a month and a half past the 30 day return/rma policy. anybody have any suggestions?? maybe something i missed? I asus motherboards and other products so i wish i could just get an answer. online support wasn't much of a help.

Was it working when you first built the system or is this the first time you've tried to get it working?

Hi Ray,

If you don't have any additional parts to test with then I think you've done what you could. Since it was working beforehand and broke without anything changing it is RMA time I think. You can either go through your vendor if they have a return policy or you can use the ASUS contact information in the thread below.
