Maximus IV Extreme-Z onboard Intel nic's which is best?

Hi,just got my board up & running and was wondering if there was any difference between the 2 x Intel NIC ports? I know they are different model numbers (82579V & 82583V) but is one better too use than the other?

If you do not need a dual LAN configuration then use the 82579V NIC. It's the one to use if you just have a single LAN.

Congrats on the new board. I'm loving mine, just got the rig together a few days ago. Lots to learn (I wondered the same question you asked, and of course got my answer from this forum!).
