So I came fro man MSI 790fx gd70. When I would change a voltage in the bios I could boot up and THE VOLTAGE WOULD BE WHAT I SET IT TO. This board (with an 1100t) is NEVER what I set it to. I have tried a crap load of combos of LLC and voltages, and it NEVER boots to what I tell it to. And when its close, it vdroops so low that I fail tests. Is it like this on all boards?

ASUS let me down with my first one, and luckily Im still within my return policy with newegg. This board has been more headaches than its worth, I may just go back to trusy old MSI once again.

EASY NOW...NO NEED TO USE SWEAR WORDS....MSI INDEED...HAHAHA

SO YOUR BOARD IS UP AND RUNNING STABLE ENOUGH TO ATTEMPT OC'ING, CORRECT???
HMMMM....IM THINKING..SOMEWHERE ONE OF THE (AUTO) SOMETHING OR OTHER IS ENABLED...
IE....OVER VOLT PROTECTION....LOTS OF REDUNDENCY PROTECTIONS BUILT INTO ASUS BOARDS...
TAKE A BREATH ...AND GO THROUGH EVERYTHING....EVERYTHING AGAIN ....IT WILL JUMP OUT AT YOU

ALSO...AND PLEASE, I MEAN NO DISRESPECT......ASUS 'LET YOU DOWN ON THE FIRST ONE' HOW?
WE ARE CURIOUS...BECAUSE THIS IS NOT THE OVERWHELMING OUTCOME FROM ASUS....WE ARE
NUMBER ONE WITH THEM......(WE ARE THEIR MONEY...WE WILL BE HAPPY...OR THEY WILL BE HUNGRY)
TELL IT....GET IT OUT HERE... YOU WILL BE AMAZED AT HOW FAST THINGS TURN AROUND WHEN THE
RIGHT REP GETS A HOLD OF YOUR ISSUE AND RUNS WITH IT..... GOOD LUCK...c.

There is always going to be some level of sag on any rail that draws appreciable current. What are you using to measure the voltages?

Work out the load voltage your CPU needs and set the VID accordingly.

The boards you mention from the other vendor have a history of burning out their VRMs and taking CPUs with them. That is why a complimentary level of Vdroop is not such a bad thing ;)

LOL, I killed 2 of them when i OC'ed my 1090T. The 3rd one ended up on eBay.

Lucky for me my cpu survived both ordeals..

...And then there are the people that say "the x6 burned that board up!" myself included, until you realized it was never meant for a 6 core. I burned two of those 790fx boards right up, it was awesome. Then I stuck with the 965 for a while. But my memory from that was that I could get it to some ridiculous speeds in the low 1.4's, unlike this 1100t. I think I may just return it and get a 1090t again. I hate how companies make these "ripoff" chips that are like 100mhz faster than another exact same chip and call it another model. But I fell for it:rolleyes:
