Headphones help!

Well, my razer carcharias (Which I've had for a while) have stopped working. The sound works fine (Other than having to have the plug a little bit out of the socket) but the mic Isn't detected, and wont send any sound. Every now and again it works, but I cant get it to work anymore. Any help/suggestions?

More of looking for a fix, instead of new headphones, I at least have to wait until Christmas or my brithday to get some new ones.

You either have a broken wire or the mic went bad, is it under warranty still?, not much you can do to repair it without risking the headphones. You could always buy a cheap mic and jury-rig it to the headset, or just use one on your desk until you can replace the headset.
