Hi folks, this probably has a simple solution but it's eluding me. I've built a new system for the first time and everything is running nicely but I can't figure out why my GTX580 won't move beyond 405mHz in GPU Tweak or anything else for that matter. Thanks in advance for any leads!

Reboot your system, older drivers have been known to drop the clock down for 2d mode and not allow them to clock back up without a reboot.

Are you using the latest Nvidia drivers, not the ones from the CD? If not uninstall the drivers, reboot into safe mode run driver sweeper, reboot into windows and install the most up to date drivers.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, all of that has been done following the method found here. http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=169555 I wonder if physically reinstalling the card would help?

So I took the nuclear option and reinstalled windows 7 and the problem is gone.
