[HELP] ROG Connect error: "The computer is locked"

i'have installed my new Asus Crosshair V Formula with AMD fx-8150 cpu .
all led are green , but system won't start .
connecing ROG Connect i recive the error.

"The remote computer is locked"

anyone have some idea?

I have the same problem. Whole last day i have spent trying to make my MoBo working! I have no idea anymore about what is wrong with it but it seems like i will have to return it!

Do you know what BIOS the board has? There should be a sticker on the mobo that states which bios it has. If the board is brand new and has bios version 0705 or older than you will need an older cpu (Phenom or Athlon) in order to update the bios to work with your Bulldozer cpu.

As far as ROG Connect, I believe you need it installed on your pc first before you can connect a second pc to it

Hi!

I'm having the same problem.

I wanted to know if you found a fix or you had to replace the board.

i'm a first time builder, and i really need help
the board posted the first time i power it up, but i was having probs with the cpu led (it being solid red)
so i went into the bios to change my boot order, to install windows 7 64 bit
on exit and save it would not boot : ROG connect (from my laptop) was saying the remote computer is locked.
and i have been searching like mad to find a solution.

please if anyone can help me, I'd be extremely Grateful.

i have tried clearing the cmos
the cmos clr button
removing all the power connection from my psu to the mobo, then moving the clr rta jumper to the clear setting, then taking out the mobo battery.
replacing everything in the reverse.
trying diferent pciE slots for the GPU
trying the different slots for the memory
checking memory is seated properly.

if anyone can help me, I'd be Eternally Grateful

You have to install ROG files in windows and also make sure you have ROG enabled on your motherboard (there is a on/off switch)

Also there's a BIOS setting for this as well:

As for the BIOS Version look at the Serial Number and it's supposed to be the last 4 Digits.

I'm having the same problem. RoG is enabled yet RC Tweakit will still display a 'the computer is locked' message. Anybody know why? I've yet to find a decent explanation on the Internet.

RC Tweakit, is the remote version aka it's the one you install on a laptop, another computer etc. You need to have the "Server" version installed onto your main Computer and flick the switch on the motherboard to use it :)

Got it. I was under the impression you could use it as stand alone to debug the motherboard, don't ask why. Maybe because the information on Asus website and manual is sort of lackluster. Perhaps it would be better to call it RoG Connect Client and Server software instead of Connect and Connect Plus, oh well...
