My brother has a ASUS EAH5870 1GB video card. He is looking to get a water block for it, but the only one I can confirm that will fit is Koolance block. The bad thing about that block is that is is all silver and is ugly as heck. He is wanting to know if someone knows if one of the EK blocks might work.

EK 5870 water blocks (http://www.ekwaterblocks.com/shop/blocks/vga-blocks/ati-radeon-full-cover-blocks/radeon-5870-series.html)

They have very nice blocks, and they are about $40 cheaper then the Koolance block. Any advice would be great. Thank you in advance.

As long as it's the reference verson. It will fit the EK waterblock and many others

Thank you for your response. I actually forgot that EK had a nice little tool to help people find the correct block.

I've read this topic before bying two EAH5870 and two waterblock. And i've lost my money :(

The V1 of this card is standard... but not the V2 !

Due to "Voltage Tweaks" the compounds are way higher than standards ones and then the waterblock can't fit on the board T_T
