    Well,
Thought Id found the problem, but not.
After finding a thread via google about another g74 owner who had same exact issue, he foundout that was due to 1 faulty ram stick,so i removed all 4 sticks(4x4) and it started up,BUT wall I get is a black screen,no response. Drives are spinning all lights are on,just no response and a blank screen.
Now as soon as I try put even 1 stick bac into ram slot, it goes back to switching on on off every 1 second or so????
I tried putting in 1 stick at a time into the first ram slot, but all have the same effect, g74 switch on, then straight off again continuesly????

Bloody weird. thinking if bios fault then Im screwed.
Pressing f2 or f6 or escape or delete when switching on does nothing.

Dont these things have a cmos/reset battery??
