Zka buddy, I have 2 2gb sticks of pi coming from ebay, 2300 mhz 8-11-8-28-2N
What can I expect on the RIVE, any possible gain on the x79? I was thinking starting at 1600 mhz and see what timings they will run then working up mhz, I have never been good with ram, I have always buy the highest speed and run at highest speed the cpu and bus allow stable, I alwayys give up trying to play with timings, maybe you can help get me started in right direction so I can learn to overclock something besides gpu, i would consider another platform for 2d benching, it just doesn't interest me as much as 3d benching, but anything I learn would help round my skills and contribute to team scores.

well im thinking of geting one or 2 of those 4gigs of evga hydros

Hey Zka- I think I was in your neighborhood last week. Stayed in the Isle of Palms. There was a good book sale at the shopping plaza off of the IOP connector --everything was a dollar. Never could figure out what the name of it was... The shopping area I mean. It had a Piggly Wiggly and Target. Wish I could've stayed longer. Had to leave Sunday morning, just as the weather was getting really nice again. grrr.

IF im gona get em i have to get em from the states, brice difrence is 350 on one card from here to there.
