Building First Rig, need some advice...

Asus Crosshair V Formula (done)
AMD FX8120 3.1Ghz (done)
Asustek Nvidia GTX 560 (done)

Corsair Dominator GT 8GB (2X4GB) (waiting)

Ok so thats pretty much the rig im gonna build...so my thing is...the ram...with a 2000mhz freq...would this motherboard take it without any settings being done in the bios or timing changed in the ram?

Also another thing, what would be a recommended or advisable brand of PSU for my rig?
This is the first time im actually using Asus and im quite eager to test it out....so far im down to about 3 to 4 more stuff...which would be another 2 months to get due to budget...so yea....do comment...i wanna know what u guys think....people at my place just arent the right people to talk to...and because the shops here customize rigs just too expensive...they're charging me 4K for my setup...so far i roughly spend about 1k to buy the mobo, gpu and processor...perhaps another $800 - + for the rest and a 3D compliant monitor...and i forgot to mention its my first time here..so id like to say...hi to everyone

congrats on your choice...the V is my personal favorite.
you will have to set the profile in the bios....easy...1,2,3...for the memory

you may have to flash the bios for that fx ... maybe..
if so..plan that..and see if a friend has a am3 you can borrow...
or hopefully you have one....but other than that...very sweet.

the psu ... hahahah .. ill let someone else chew that with you..

Hello and welcome! I can't personally speak for the crosshair V, but my dominator RAM was picked up immediatly by my mobo with the correct timings and frequency! I love Corsair! PSU i have the XFX series. Works very very well and have no problems so far. Although my rig is only 3 weeks old. I would suggest the corsair pro series. its 100% modular and very popular. its also gold certified.

If it was my build i would get a PSU with enough wattage for future power needs. Spend $100 give or take now rather than $250 + - down the road. you never know, you might go with 2 or 3 GPU's in the future.......

That is looking good for a start - yeah PSU you need to do a bit of research.

It all depends on your upgrade path and the money you are willing to spend.

Once you have worked those two out we can discuss which PSU's to look at. :)

And yes that is a very nice build I like the V board too.

Not sure what is available in your region but I like Corsair, Antec Signature, and Silverstone PSU's. Thermaltake is probably OK as well but I would make sure to read the reviews on ANY PSU before you buy it. Find a review where the reviewer opened it up to examine the build quality and did ripple tests under load. Even the best brands have lemons from time to time. I would avoid OCZ. I've had bad luck and so have others.

One place to research a Power Supply is: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/, they even take them apart during their test to make sure that they are made well. They have extensive reviews on just about all parts and even test Thermal Paste! So far they have been right on for me.

You have chosen some nice components, but I'm a bit taken back by your GPU selection.
Especially if you're a gamer, I would have opted for a minimum GTX 560Ti, they are a SLI dream.
If you're going to stick with the 560 and eventually go SLI, then all you need would be the Corsair HX or AX850W.

Many of the psu are being built on the same platforms, in many cases u pay for the brand..

Like many other HW components....
