hmm found it hard enough getting cpu stable with 16mb mem .. but 32 wow that is going to be tricky ..
not so much nb/cpu side but just mem .. try increasing .05-.1 because that's where I hit my wall...
problem is it's 5ghz at turbo which is just an overclock for the lazy .. shame really but they do need extra cash ..
i'm thinking it's not going to beat my 8350 at stable values .. which sits at...
there the future ... well for most sheeple ... less costs more profit ..
so there just the cream of the clock 8350's pre clocked .. mine sits happly at 4.8ghz 1.38v but if they redo the 990 chipset now theres something ..
hmm i'd say up the multi drop the nb ht to 2400 bring your bus speed down ..
mem cycle time is wrong should be 32
whats all the other settings at .. take a pic and post em ..
...
have you turned off turbo core on the cpu ? your overclocking ..
can ya tell off the s/n ?din't look on the chip ..
and how are you getting on with that sniper low voltage ? can get mine to run at just under 1800 ..
10,10.10.28 need it to go further any tips ?
so put the 8350 and the nb waterblock in and fired her up .. first did 4.7 just to see it warm up ..
now straight into the 5ghz club http://valid.canardpc.com/2706796
will keep on playing with it...
just buy a v then .. not that much has changed
your still not stable .. things are loading into mem and being lost .. to get 2 seprate sets of mem even tho there the same to run together is hard .. thats why they match 16gb sets at the factory...
just give it a shove and a push...
so tom the nb block will be here and will be setup wed ..maybe push a little more out of this 1090t befor my 8350 arives next week ..:)
then i'm moving to a new case in april the 900d .. can't wait...
thx for the kidney .... lol
now theres 2 of them one for the z with a little bling and one for the v .. i'm assuming nothing has changed in the layout between both boards
yeah sorry keep thinking people know ..very strange ..lol
crosshair v 1090t@4ghz 16g gskill mem (saF3-12800CL9Q-16GBSR1),sapphire5870 ,2x360 rads ,corsair tx 650..32"toshiba regza 1080
so preordered an obsidion 900d small treat as my case is 14 yrs old a lian-li pc70.. and to help it out am also going to jump to the pile driver cpu from a 1090t..and probly a north bridge cooler ......
buy a bigger case or relocate the rad ..looks def like an heat retension /arcing issue but then you knew this or would'nt of trimmed the rad ..
snipers are fine in a crosshair .. long as you bought the 16gb set .. 2x8 and you will have to up the voltage to make it stable ...
can you link ebay ?? ones i see are $220
but sayig that touch wood (just in case ) never had a problem flashing in windows ..
send hd back either rma or return to store ..and get a ssd samsung830 crucial or corsair pef pro size 128 and...
your excused .. and the v & v-z are the same board just slightly updated ..what was it sound and and a couple of capacitors..
your using 1 rad for 2 cards and an o/c cpu ? happy birthday tho .. hope all is well ..
i use casper for cloning .. never had a problem ..
lol ok but seeing as this is a crosshair forum .. but just for you ..ASUS Crosshair V Formula AM3+ 990FX
but hivizman with his keen sence of metal ability already new that ..
