Have you tried lowering the shadow quality in the game? It might not solve the problem but it will help a little.

I think I saw a video once that showed that the video card sits under the right side of the keyboard, thats why it gets hotter (both the keyboard and the air vent on the back). I would start worrying...

I had a similar issue with my G73SW-A1 a couple days ago... I don't recall which power setting was on, but I tried to install a game and then the drive would not respond, so I looked on My Computer...

I bought mine on August 21, so far I'm pretty impressed with it, and pretty happy too!
