i'd check out the inverter board.
do the new ones still use power4gear?
does it still have the option to turn off the webcam?
to be honest i'm excited. i hope they can get the weight down a little on the new G55 and maybe up the battery life.
i'm thinking about taking the plunge on a G46 but i'd like to wait about 6...
quality post, well said.
save this, it's a official download for Windows 7 64-bit, in iso format. it's a regular version from microsoft that allows you to download, burn a DVD
my personal favorite, install it to a...
do you have another AC Adapter to try?
also, is it grounded?
maybe the inverter board isn't compatible.
there's a small, rectangular, and usually yellowish box, at the bottom of your LCD panel. the bezel around the LCD panel and the four perimeter screws...
i use a little guy called Powermizer Switch on my video card, so it can throttle down when full power isn't needed.
if you're having a voltage issue like that, maybe look at reseating the...
give it a go.
the asus G51vx-rx05 only supports 4GB on paper, and according to ASUS. it will function with 8GB just fine.
you might try checking the intel website for information...
sounds like the video card overheated to the point of causing permanent damage. the GPU may not be stable. especially if you're idleing on the desktop and still encountering this issue.
i wanted to clear up some misinformation floating around.
there are many different kinds of color film you can buy or use. i've used several different colors, including a red and a blue film.
no, but you should do it anyway.
actually that's terrible advice. i'd ease it up in small increments like +20 at a time.
the next g-series will probably have a 760m or a 770m for the high end.
asus uses a reverse design. the connecter is flipped 180 degrees. this means that the only other video cards you can upgrade to are the ones that asus themselves put out for other laptops. since no...
this is freaking awesome. at some point when the original Afterburner mod came out, i had ideas about making an adjustable LED exhaust light, but i was unsure how to do it.
this is perfect....
sounds like some kind of overheating and/or throttling problem.

i've also done a vent mod...
might have reset the bios by doing that.
there's some kind of bug in it that sometimes gets tripped. for some reason setting it to default, twice, seemed to clear the bug for me.
nice. i'm glad to see it worked out well.
have you tried to manually tell the driver what card it is?
i'll tell you a tip i picked up, somewhere along the way. i installed a secondary hard drive into my G51vx. long story short, i had some issues getting it to recognize in the bios.
maybe you don't need to take the keyboard off. you're wanting to tint the backlight color, right?
you might be able to seperate the led light panel from the keyboard.
if you decide to paint it, make sure to cover the job with some clear coat. matte or glossy, depending on your preference.
GPU Tweak works on my G51 just fine.
i use it to OC my GTX260m.
am i missing something here?
i didn't know it had a on-screen fps display
i might have to give it a try. i used to use xfire for that purpose but the most recent update botched it for me.
