I have the vw and I love it, mine is perfectly quiet. However, if I had the option to buy either (I didn't back then), I would get the vx for the graphics card being an mx.

I don't have any expectations, other than some bugs or server issues on day of release which is pretty much standard for any thing these days. I'll still play it though, Day-Z was awesome until the...
Server issues.. that's nothing new for any online game on day of release. Guild Wars 2 was horrid for connection issues and servers being down, Diablo 3 had log in issues, plus there's heaps of...
For me, I am using a Razer Anansi Keyboard, Razer Naga Molten Mouse and Razer Cacharias Headphones. Swapping out the keyboard for a Razer Deathstalker Ultimate and headphones for the Razer Tiamat.

Seriously though, it depends on what games you like to play. Some games out now can make the 75/55 struggle on max/ultra settings. But if you are into wow, etc, you'll be fine for a while.

2. Seriously? Dude, the way they bring out new games and their...
Great to hear Bundy.
Never had issues with mine either, straight out of the box it has worked fine, even with headphones for the last couple months.
I have the 670M. Depending on raid size and what's going on, I happily get 60+fps in wow on ultra, 30+fps in BF3 on ultra multiplayer. I don't experience any "bog down in spell effects" the above...
I downloaded powermizer a few months ago, to turn OFF the power throttling on my G74SX. I was getting constant TDR errors when playing youtube and other videos and the gpu would drop into power...
Nope, my Aussie one is the G75VW-T1013V. i7-3610QM, 16gb ram, 256SSD/1TBHDD, GTX670 3gb, Blueray Writer. It's been great, not a single issue with it. Got mine through Scorptec in Clayton,...
For me.. the old Gold Box SSI Dungeons & Dragons adventures..
Then Diablo, Diablo 2, Baldur's Gate.
Dude.. it's a laptop. You expect too much. Though I can play BF3 on mine on ultra with 30+ fps.
No it's not a thunderbolt port. It's just a mini-display port.
I was the same as you. I read all the horror stories on here, and was terrified of buying the G75.
I love Asus products, so I took the plunge.. and well.. much to my surprise.. all of the horror...
Microfibre cloth and Viva Computer Screen Wipes. Flawless.
Have you tried turning powermizer off? There is a program that allows you to do this. It was suggested to me when I had constant display driver crashes, and since turning it off, I've not had a...
Switching Powermixer off has worked for me and stopped all of my constant display driver crashes. Thanks for posting that info, I've been suffering with constant TDRs for months and was about to RMA...
Razer Naga, Razer Anansi, Razer Carcharias. I think that's about it.
It's terrible for minecraft. The graphics look all blockish and pixelated. ;)
I am loving the G75vw, mine is the t1013v with 16gb, 256 ssd/1tb hdd, 670M. Playing BF3 on ultra, nice and smooth. Looks great next to my G74sx.
Like Scott said.. just enjoy your new laptop. If your G75 is working great, don't worry about numbers. I'm having a blast in BF3, but running mine with all settings maxed out on ultra. I have the...
Driver is running well for me so far. I have only played WoW, D3 and BF3 on it.
Thanks Maximus.
I've had a program appear in my notifications asking to be installed called the intel manageability engine firmware recovery agent.
Has anyone had this happen on their G75? And should I install...
