Ok i managed to get 12 driver with 12 OROM 3602 bios... works fine, trim works. Not upgrading to 12.5.

I can't tell about the right bios to support the 3970X, but i know you need at least one fan plugged in the CPU FAN of the motherboard for it to post.

It should work without problem if the cards says it can operate at PCIe 2.0 speed. If the card is backward compatible, it should. My guess is that an nVidia 680 should work on that board.

Most reliable way to tell if your temp is ok is in the bios... all software have good or bad behaviors... so i guess you are. I use coretemp and i get almost same temp as i get in the bios.

Incompatible ram... now running stable, no resets, no reboots... running windows 8 will all drivers installed... seems very stable... running prime95...

Well, changed it with a 3.01v CR2032 battery... tested it to 3.01v, so it's a good battery...

Yeah, but will a failed battery will cause all sort of instability like i am getting with it? I can replace it no problem, it's a CR2032, pretty common battery.

I just got this board, friend of mine bought it to upgrade his system... it was used and professionally tested fully functional (yeah right!), was bought on Ebay and said it was a Repair, and...

Got an update on the board today, i should get the board friday. So with this in mind, and with Christmas around the corner, i should have the board installed in the system this coming weekend... so...

No rush on this, as i don't expect to have the motherboard and system until 26th of december, then i have to upgrade everything (swap motherboards, install windows 8... etc... and then cable...

I saw that on the Rampage III Extreme with x58 of course, there is a bios modder that inserted the 11.6 ORom, says that X58 = no trim...
