    Brand new to folding.

I've been planning to get set up in folding for a while, and decided this contest was the motivation I needed.

I set up 2 rigs tonite, the first is a 980x on a Rampage III Gene (won right here !! Thanks Asus ) sporting a GTX480.

The second is a 920 on an Asus P6T Deluxe with my pair of 5870's munching away.

Both CPUs clocked to 4+ GHz. If the 5870's don't produce decent points. I have a GTX280 and a bunch of 8800s.

I'm not sure what to expect for points out of these, maybe someone could estimate for me.

And I'll point out again that you want to do those 10 WU's on normal SMP units and not bigadv otherwise you'll spend half the month just trying to qualify for bonuses. As soon as you qualify then switch to bigadv.

    Hi everyone,

I'm here for the promotion, I used to fold for Overclock.net but after moving etc I haven't started back up.....but anyways, I got two machines up and working on the third and fourth machine.

    Server 24/7 folder
    Intel Q6600 2.66 oc to 3.2
    Nvidia 8800 GTS

    Gaming rig
    Intel i7 920 D0 oc to 4.1ghz
    2 5780's oc 875 core 1220 mem

Those are the primary ones that will be contributing, my other two machines are in pieces at the moment.

I am however seeing an issue with my i7 920 rig it's been running for over an hour now and it hasn't done anything....I've never really folded on this machine before

also I've gotten one job done....and I'm not on the team page....any ideas??

EOC only updates every 3 hours so it will take time before you show up.

As to your CPU not doing anything, is your CPU utilization maxed? If so and there's nothing in the log sometimes I've seen it where the client will get disconnected from the core. This will happen if you start as a service and then try to start the client again for example. The only thing you can do is try to shut down and then restart to see if logging resumes properly.

    Hello everyone,
Like some others in here, I joined when I heard about the contest. I've been folding for about two years now. Currently only folding on the GTX 460 bringing in about 12,500 PPD. I've got an E8400 as well but decided not to run A3 on it after getting hit with some pretty nasty work units.

    Way to fold everyone!
