How much for the Targus XL?
roughly $50 give or take a few for shipping depending on where i get it. Where can I buy it where it will come with the bag and mouse?

Maybe you can ask your retailer for the backpack and mouse.
While at it, ask for some discount since you're buying from them.

I think what I might do is contact ASUS to see if I can get a discount on them through them. I already tried talking with Tigerdirect and they wont me any discount on it at all.

This is the bag I purchased for my G73jh with the optional boot. I have had it for 3 years now and it has traveled with me to Iraq and Afghanistan. Not even a wear mark on it. It holds a couple days worth of clothes and my cables, external HD's my 2 24packs soft game cases, Pens notebook, my Zune and cables. Places for my hand sanitizer, headphones..everything!. You cannot and will not find any substitution for it in any better quality. I would recommend this to any and everyone who wants the top level backpack to hold their top level rig.

I just made one. My work keeps me on the road 8/10 months a year, living in Motels/Living quarters so I need a "beefy" bag for my G74Sx. Used batting for quilts, bubble wrap, flannel cloth, and a $20.00 wal-mart backpack. Took about 1/2 an hour to make and my Beautiful machine is STILL beautiful after a little over a year now of travel and bouncing over some mighty rough roads.

I looked around for a while when I ordered my G74Sx, and settled on a Mobile Edge backpack style bag, and I absolutely LOVE it. I had a couple minor issues with it early on, but as the bag broke in they've become much more tolerable. It's held up incredibly well and after just over a year of pretty heavy use (I travel a LOT and never go anywhere without my laptop) it hasn't shown even a sign of wear at all. Here's a link to my review on Amazon for it (which has a link to the product on the right, BTW): http://www.amazon.com/review/R2546AI...F8&channel=ryp

I went with the Targus XL Backpack, I've had it for a few months now and I love it. It's got room for my laptop, cooling fan, all my books, as well as another laptop if I really needed. I got it with a coupon so it was only $60 instead of 80, but regardless it's definitely worth it. But whichever backpack you ROG'ers go with, make sure it's padded and very protective of your laptop :P
