Do you know if waterblocks designed to fit the reference design will work on the Direct CU II ?? I know this would not have been tested in the Asus labs, but do you know if the basic dimensional design specs werer altered? Or are the changes only better components and cooler?

This is critcal for me. I currently have 2 Asus HD 7970 cards in crossfire that are water cooled witn Koolance blocks that fit the reference design perfectly. However, I want to swap to the Direct CU II versions to get the better VRM components.

I don't have a reference card to compare sorry, but I think it's mostly likely not the same.

    Dear MarshallR,

Do you know that these DCUII cards get the same AMD GPU chips as the reference ones or are they selected (e.g. hand-picked) samples?

Strange, that I got that information from one of the distributors here in Hungary, that the Direct CU II cards will be available on end of february.

    Dear MarshallR,

Could you confirm, that the max TDP of the DirectCU II card 375W (instead of reference card's TDP 300W)?

    Dear MarshallR,

    I hope you are well.
Could you please tell me some details about VGA hot wire technology?
If I connect the 7970 DCUII with Rampage IV Extreme motherboard, I am able to regulate the frequencies and voltages on the VGA from BIOS or from a ROG application in Windows? I haven't seen any detailed information about this function and I am considering to change my Rampage III Extreme to Rampage IV Extreme in the near future. Are there any advantages of this function and GPU tweaker application?

Thank you for your answer in advance.

Hello MarshallR @ ASUS, I wonder how long will have available backplanes DC2T the Asus 7950?

Since this model is not included as the Asus brings DC2T 7970 ....

I await your response ... Greetings.
