Your Going To Need It, With The New Software, That's Coming Out Soon...

OK!!!! it's just gone quart to 4 am here and before I crawl into bed I thought i'd share a little excitement that i've finally crushed the WEI "Bug" with my setup. I bought myself a Corsair GT Force 120GB SSD and watched with glee when I ran the WEI and scored a 7.9 for running my SSD

Took forever though, I tried a backup of the critical System Data and tried a restore of it with the repair disk....the repair disk wouldn't boot up. I downloaded and purchased a licence to use Paragon Migrate OS to SSD software...that failed me...ended up seeing that it wasn't switching my SSD to a Bootable Drive and I couldn't set it as "Active". I Googled and tried a few suggestions to make it happen, but nothing changed it. I just couldn't boot from my SSD...so finally, I caved and just did a fresh install of Win7 and I have the very bare minimum running right now lol. Anyways my fellow ROGers, i'm off to get some zzzz's...see ya's round

P.S I can see you rolling your eyes HiVizMan, because I bought a Corsair SSD

Ok time for me to get serious (yes, it's possible ) so i've had the SSD installed and running for 4 days now and while it is awesome i'm confused as to why Windows still takes forever to boot up. With the HDD boot time to Win Login screen was about 24-27 seconds and now with my new SSD, the bootup time is still the same. AHCI is of course set for the drive, firmware is the latest it needs to be... is there anything I should be changing within Win7 to ensure a faster boot time? i've seen mention of using Intel AHCI Drivers, though they are not listed through the ASUS website download section for the CHVF and in WEI my SSD is ranking at 7.9. i'm at a total loss as to why it is not booting up as fast as it should be....any ideas guys? any and all suggestions will be tried as I see them, thanks in advance

    Myk
