Which would keep my cpu cooler?

I have a very soft spot for the TT120 had one for years and it was a top cooler.

But I have never used the Thermaltake Frio so not able to comment. What I do know is that it is noisy.

The FRIO is pretty good I am getting idle temps at around 28-32 degrees and max in Prime between 56-60 depending on ambient temps of course with the system overclock of 4.4ghz.
Plus its a nice looking cooler and goes with the red and black theme I have. The fans are abit louder thatn I would like on 90-100% fan speed but yeah would give it a thumbs up imo. Cant comment on the latter as I have never owned one.

TT120 is a very old cooler and has been around since before the Core2Duo CPU. There is a updated version but think the Frio is the much newer cooler.

I have never used the Thermaltake Frio so not able to comment. What I do know is that it is noisy.

Are we talking about the Frio or the FrioOCK? I can confirm that the OCK is noisy and the fans are glued into the housing so they can't be replaced with better ones. Everything else is actually well thought out but the fan design is awful and really kills the product for me since I'm a nut for quiet PCs.

The original Frio is still a great cooler. Fans are changeable and I don't think it is all that noisy.

If you are looking for a great cooler, on par with the Noctua D14, you might want to check out the Phanteks PH-TC14PE.

The Phanteks actually beat the D14 by 1° during my testing of both coolers. Available in a considerable amount of colors if you are looking to match it up with a color scheme.

Wow, hadn't seen that one Kipper. Looks like an interesting design but almost certain to interfere with any memory utilizing a tall heatspreader. Seems like even if you moved the fans up to clear them, the heat sink spreads out far enough to overhang most boards' memory banks, right?

Did the TT120 arrive before the True? cause I don't remember it...

Oh hell yeah - the TT was around before the P35 chipset. I had one on a P5W motherboard. That is way to long ago.
