Oc of a 270k help plz

this is my pc spec's...

Asus Maximus Extreme-z [Bios 1004]
Intel I7 2700k 3,5 Ghz [Kølet af Arctic Cooling Freezer XTREME Rev. 2]
16 Gb Ddr 3 Ram
2 Stk Xfx 6990 4gb
Silverstone St 1500W Psu
2x WD raptor 600gb [Raid 0]
3x 1500 Gb [Lager]
1 x Dvd nec Drænder 16x


when i try to oc my i7 2700k i disable the Speedstepping and tubo Boost mode in bios and turn cpu ratio up..but when i reach 40 = 4000Mhz Turbo Boost automaticly turns it self on again, and i cant disable it again...i dont know why, i tried reading other theads about it but no luck so far...can anyone help me here?

Have you tried any of the over-clocking guides? I would really recommend this one.

i read, but the way i see it is that he overclocking with the turbo boost mode, and that is what im trying to awoid..i want a oc of the cpu without turbo boost mode. if it is written in that linked post i must have not seen or undestod it.

Go into BIOS F5 and enter

• Navigate to the AI Tweaker
• Ai Overclocker Tuner - Manual
• BCLK/PEG Frequency – 100
• Turbo Ratio: By All Cores (Can Adjust in OS) – 44
• Memory Frequency – Auto or 1333MHz (we will return to this later)
• DRAM timing
• Manually set the top 5 settings to the values you will find on your DDR3 ram modules.
• They are CAS Latency, RAS to CAS Delay, RAS Pre Time, RAS Act Time and DRAM Command Mode
• AI Tweaker – scroll down to the voltages
• CPU Voltage – Manual
• CPU Manual Voltage – Type in the value 1.22 or use the + symbol on your keyboard until you see the value 1.22 in the active pane.
• DRAM Voltage – Set the voltage to the recommended voltage as specified on your DDR3 set of ram.


Disable Speedstep in enhanced CPU settings.

F10 and enter

Done

hello again, i jsut looked into the bios for the setting i should change, there is some things i need to ask HiVizMan about.

in my bios i can adjust 2 thing related to the • Turbo Ratio: By All Cores (Can Adjust in OS) – 44.

1. Turbo Ratio = All cores [Adjustable in os]
2. Maximum turbo ratio settings [Adjustable in os] = Auto

those things are what loading optimized bios settings chose to set them too.

what do i choose in those?

The thing you want me to do is oc with the turbo boost mode right?

because that is what i dont wanna do, i want oc the cpu but not with the turbo boost mode enabled, i want oc with the turbo boost mode disabled.

Where it says AUTO type in 44
