In my event viewer I ALWAYS have info about the WiFi card, hmmm. Mine is an Atheros, I'll have to try switching it out with one of my 2 spares & see if it is another piece to my puzzle. Thanks for that Info.

Or you could disable the Atheros Adapter in Device Manager and try reproducing your issue using the ethernet port for your internet connection.

Just straight up disabling the wireless from within the computer will not help. If the card itself is bad, it is still drawing power and can therefor still cause the issues at hand.
UPDATE: I also wish my ac adapter hadn't died roughly the same time that this issue started surfacing. Finding a 150W adapter for a decent price is tough.
