Thx Spoony and Necrosan. My post added some humour to the eggs post above and we got a real live-wire response.

I'm gonna lay it out for you "xmanrigger". The power plane is shared. The 4 pin adds supplementary power, of use for extreme overclocking. Generally LN2 level use or crazy Prime running circa 5GHz and above. If you want to plug in both go ahead - IT WON'T HURT.

I won't bother commenting on what I do and don't test, it's juvenile to respond to such bombastic statements. However, I'll take it from you and put it down to lack of experience and a hot-blooded temperament. But if I see anything even remotely close to that levelled at a member, your time here will be short-lived.

It doesn't aid your "situation" and in fact makes you look rather unappealing to even bother helping.

The two pictures you included in your post are _TOTALLY FINE_ for the setups you've listed.
You don't have to plug in the extra 4 pin connector if you're stable at the setups listed.
If you have instability issues, try connecting the extra 4-pin connector so it can supply extra voltage to the SAME path as the 8-pin. (As Raja kindly listed before you got your panties in a bunch.)

Also, you don't necessarily need the extra 6 pin for 3 way SLI. You'd know this if you tried beforehand instead of just complaining all over the ROG forums, or if you opened that thing some people call a manual.

Way to make a name for yourself here, kid.
Yet another. When will this madness stop? Is this a fanboy club or an actual tech forum?

I did ask for an actual Asus Rep. with a clue. Get the point kid? And ya, I did kinda tone down until I was met with the same rhetoric again.

By the way, this is totaly gay having to put this code in every post.

dude you got a massive attitude, give it a rest or leave its that simple.

there is no code, READ IT PROPPERLY AND YOUR BOOK AND OTHER POST. jesus you speak to people in the street with that mouth if you dont understand something or what ? cos if you spoke to me like that i would put you on your ass with a mouth full of broken teeth.

i think the people in this forum are all helpfull enough to each other and new members as WE ALL have experienced things together and are life long ROG fans and no that doesnt make us FAN BOYS it makes us loyal and respectfull of those who make great things and give great help.

chill out of jog on sunshine !

I purposely laid out in a way so that everyone can understand without me having to post V=IR and P=VA calculations to show you why both connectors are there.

Aggressive posting styles don't work at this forum. I am not going to allow someone to disrupt the community feel of the forum. We value your membership, but won't tolerate those who have a nature that portends towards disruption.

So, I'll ask nicely, calm down, welcome to the forum, and treat others how you'd like to be treated.

Ya, ok, you can ban me do whatever the **** you want to. It dont matter, there isnt anything her I cant find elsewhere. So why should I worry? It is this forums loss, not mine. I found a more concise and immediate reply in the regular Asus forum. If you only knew.

Your total disrespect and complete ineptness made that decision easy. Ya, this is just a fanboy club. Nothing more. I was hoping for better. Too bad. I will leave the minions to their own demise.

That's enough for me to close the thread. Hope you learn to interact well with others; you will find most people don't tolerate nasty attitudes well.
