To flash: Easiest method is to place ROM file on a formatted USB flashdrive (FAT/FAT32) and use EZ-Flash BIOS utility, accessed by hitting F2 during laptop POST / Startup

If reconstructed, is this a Windows 7 ISO to make up for the windows CD that was not included with the system?

Also; you said use the CD key on the bottom of the laptop. I ran a quick look with Magic Jellybean Finder -- and got a different Registration Key. I wanted to know if that if that is to be expected.

Go to device manager, double click the camera device to see its properties, go to the "Details" tab, and use the "Property" combobox to choose the "Device instance path" item. What is the text in the "Value" box?

The key on the bottom of the laptop isn't always the key that Windows is actually installed with. In OEM machines usually they keys on the computer will be generic OEM keys that depend on the SLIC on the motherboard being ASUS OEM. The sticker on the bottom of any OEM computer is usually gibberish.
