Exclamation maximus iv gene - z, quick question!

    hey!

i am building my first gaming computer, and i cant get any boot screen up.. i`ve connected the HDMI cable directly into the motherboard, and the pc turns on, iv'`e checked the codes who came up at the LED`s at the bottom, and it seems fine.

should the boootscreen come up during the first startup, or should the driver cd get instialized first?

once more: I CANT GET ANY BOOT SCREEN!

I WILL COMMENT DOWN BELOW THE CODES SHOWING UP, ALSO IM HEARING ONE SHORT BEEP FROM THE BORD DURING STARTUP.

    SYSTEMSPECS:

    I5 2500K
    2X 4GB CORSAIR VENGANCE CL9 1600 MHz
ASUS GTX 560 (?) DIRECT CU TOP SOMETHING (I WILL SAY THIS MORE SPECIFIC LATER ON)
    750 WATT V2 CORSAIR

AND YOU PRO`S OUT THERE, PLEASE TELL ME IF THERE IS ANYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW, IF I HAVE MISSED TO WRITE IT DOWN, THANKS FOR HELPING ME OUT

DVI is less laggy than HDMI and dGPU is faster than iGPU.

Use the ASUS GTX 560 and DVI.
or if that does not work remove GTX 560 and use HDMI to check the BIOS is set to dGPU (or install win7x64 then install dGPU).

I think the board defaults to dGPU and if no dGPU present it uses iGPU. (I might be wrong, maybe it is not consistent from factory given that some people have problems). I remember though I was swapping my iGPI/DVI cables once or twice to get the screen... the main thing is stay calm and try different combos, till you see the BIOS.

There is no point in using iGPU HDMI unless you have two monitors and want to encode using Intel hardware in TMPGEnc or something.

Also if the ROG switch is flicked on it might be trying to boot to USB console. (not sure never tried)

You can also plug in both iGPU HDMI and dGPU DVI to the same monitor and it will pick one (and you can switch in win7).
