I have been testing this strong board with a 2700K this weekend seeing what it can do with all 4 Dimm slots loaded with 4gb. This is so I can show the upgrade potential of the board for current CPU owners. The stability was unquestionable evan with all four slots heavily loaded something which cant be said for many other 1155 boards. All these tests are still on water cooling and truly attainable by your average user. The auto settiings in the Bios especially for memory settings make this a dream to get operating stable and to tune. Remember guys this is on a very early bios too infact since I did these tests Shamino has sent me two other Bios to test both of which offer new facilities and improvements in stability. The 3D benches are with two ASUS 7970 installed and again evan with this graphics fire power in Crossfire the board was rock stable with 4 dimms populated. The Prime stability shots are large FFT's all the settings used passed one hour memtest test 5 also in DOS.

5.5ghz with a 2700k , this is real good .... still with the Koolance 370 ? Have a look at the temps Grottz, it's not a H100

I am doing some testing for a UK water cooling site Specialtech with this build so I used both EK Supreme HF and 370 mate. But yes alot of tests was using the 370. Thanks Shamino this board is rocking it for fully loaded stability no question.

i have question bout This board u are testing which is has 8 -phase CPU power design + 4 -phase iGPU power design
- 2 -phase QPI/DRAM power design... and the P8Z77-V DELUXE which has 16 -phase for CPU, 4 -phase for iGPU -Digital 2 Phase DRAM Power Design...so whats the extra 8 phase for cpu whats that effect OC? or what jw not exactly sure

I have not tested the P8Z77-V deluxe mate at all so I cant comment on that one. What I can say is the Digi power on the gene is rock stable as is the LLC. Once you apply an amount in Bios it is constant and predictable which is the main thing when overclocking. I have used a digital volt meter to check this and its spot on. I can also tell you the gene clocks very well indeed. As you can see from the results above its very stable and great at clocking fully populated dimm slots. It also was fully stable in Xfire with two overclocked 7970 GPU so delivery to the chipset and PCI ex slots is also excellent. I have actually been amazed with the quality and stability of this product on what amounts to be beta bios.

I read Maximus V GENE manual and I'm not really understanding.

This motherboard have Realtek® Audio or Sound Blaster X-Fi Audio inside.

Maybe someone can confirm which audio Maximus V GENE have.

I installed Realtek first then run soundblaster utility u can hear big difference with this. Man i love tthis board.

Tho I'm not a pro oc. I just use Turbo V Evo to oc... 4.6mhz haha
