    If you are absolutely convinced you have 10.8 drivers and they are not working, you could try this older fix...

    As noted in this thread, i have already installed the new 10.8 IRST drivers. I also have mentioned that it did not solve the problem. I will try the reg fix, but i am planning to pack this thing up for return soon.

    all is well 24 hours in. Certainly not out of the woods yet, but i will take any good sign as hope. If i can get 72 hours of stability we may have found the problem! I will keep the group posted.

    Assume this is now a fixed item and we can close the thread.

    I have certainly had much better stability this week. It did prevent me from RMAing. Please do not close the thread as i am continuing testing.

    Also, we need to find a better solution than registry edits. Perhaps a new driver version will be required? Maybe there a better way to disable the LPM problem?

    Here was the fix:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\servic es\iaStor\Parameters\Port0]

    "LPM"=dword:00000000
    "LPMDSTATE"=dword:00000000
    "DIPM"=dword:00000000

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\servic es\iaStor\Parameters\Port1]

    "LPM"=dword:00000000
    "LPMDSTATE"=dword:00000000
    "DIPM"=dword:00000000

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\servic es\iaStor\Parameters\Port2]

    "LPM"=dword:00000000
    "LPMDSTATE"=dword:00000000
    "DIPM"=dword:00000000

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\servic es\iaStor\Parameters\Port3]

    "LPM"=dword:00000000
    "LPMDSTATE"=dword:00000000
    "DIPM"=dword:00000000

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\servic es\iaStor\Parameters\Port4]

    "LPM"=dword:00000000
    "LPMDSTATE"=dword:00000000
    "DIPM"=dword:00000000

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\servic es\iaStor\Parameters\Port5]

    "LPM"=dword:00000000
    "LPMDSTATE"=dword:00000000
    "DIPM"=dword:00000000

    The 10.8 IRST drivers should have fixed this problem, I know you said you installed them, but you listed the driver as 1 0 . 6. You never said "yes I have 10.8 installed", just "yes I installed them". I know it sounds dumb, but just double checking could help.

    Maybe double check they are installed properly.. re-download and right click the 10.8 installer and "install as administrator"... or turn off all the Windows protection junk.

    The alternative thought is some 320's might need the hack or I am wrongly assuming it is fixed or fixed for all SSD's.

    Maybe read that whole thread for the reg hack, I am sure someone has probably looked/guessed at what the driver does in painful detail somewhere on the web, lol.

    I am still having this exact same problem after installing 10.8 and doing the registry edit. Granted it did take several days to crash this time.

    However, the crash was exactly the same as always. This problem is not fixed.

    Any more suggestions?

    Well I would suspect the Intel 320's, so I would swap them out and try something else first.
    As I said it could be the OS is corrupt now. Could be the MB or the memory as well. Very hard to guess.
    Glad it is not me, sorry to say, but feel for ya bud.

    Can you take them to place of purchase and test another drive.. or if from a big chain, just swap the lot?

    I had another freeze this morning, so i am back to daily freezing again. I had hopes that the LPM was the problem, but it is now clear this was a red herring. I am very disappointed that raja gave up on trying to help. I am calling asus to set up an RMA today.

    Please let us know how the RMA progressed. I would most certainly RMA.
