    No do not worry.

As you are still having the issue, and your system is running at stock. That can only mean we have a component problem.

Can you start by running memtest for your ram.

Motherboards do not cause the problem you are describing in game. They will freak out all over the show not just in one game. So either your graphic driver is corrupted, or the game is corrupted but I am sure you have downloaded both again. So.... memtest time.

I was thinking along the same lines. I began chasing this problem by running memtest on each stick individually. But after reading some more and thinking back to when I started, I realized that I never put all the sticks together and ran memtest. Well when that hit me, I tried memtest with all 4 sticks in, and it was a no go. Memtest froze after the first two tests. Same with just 2 sticks of ram installed. When I went down to just on stick memtest ran without problem for 4 passes before I stopped it. I then went and tried the game, and played without issue for approximately an hour. So now it is just an issue of getting the board stable with 4 sticks of Ram and I should be good.

    Outstanding mate. Nice one.

Finding the area of fault is the biggest step in sorting the problem out. Please post back when you have it stable and tell us what you needed to do.

    Cheers

So this is as far as I have gotten.

When I realized it could be the RAM, I pulled out 2 sticks and left a stick in A2 and one in B2. I then reset the CMOS, and booted into the BIOS and manually set the memory timing to manufactures settings. In my case that was 9-9-9-24 2T. I then set the voltage to 1.35v. Finally I set the READ to READ to 5. After saving and rebooting, I ran Memtest and let it run through 2 passes. When it finished 2 passes without error, I pulled those 2 sticks and replaced them with the other 2 sticks in the same A2 and B2 slots. After starting Memtest, the system reported numerous errors right off the bat in test #2. When this happened, I pulled one stick and ran Memtest again. The first stick passed with no errors, the second stick showed one error during the third pass and 2 during the fourth pass.

I have gotten a RMA for this set of Dimms and will be shipping them back on Monday.

I also placed the 2 sticks that did pass in and have played games for over an hour without problem.

As soon as I get some replacement memory back, I will let you know if I can get it stable with all four sticks.

Thanks again for all your help and patients.

Well I thought I had it licked, but alas… I do not.

The machine ran fine for a day or two, but now it is rebooting again.

I started back at the memory, and I am experiencing lockups while testing. I am not getting errors, but the system just hangs.
I really don’t have the experience to know what this could be now. I did not change any settings from when it was stable.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

No problem we will beat this.

First thing let us set all to default. So go into BIOS and F5 then enter. F10 the enter.

That should ensure your system is at default. Now leave it like that and go to OS. Is your system stable at default or is it still doing weird stuff?

Everything seems to be running fine now, except AMD Catyalist Control Center which refuses to work right. At this point I have uninstalled it to see if the system stays table. I will let it run tonight and see how it looks in the morning.

Ok, I got up this morning and the system had shut down sometime during the night and restarted. I have tried running several programs, but the system seem stable. I am at a loss on how to recreate this problem. I have disabled auto restart in an attempt to view the BSOD and see if I can figure out what is causing the issue.

I will post back if and when I find something out.

I finally got a reboot, but without a BSOD. Upon restart I got the Windows has recovered from an unexpected shut down. The Blue Screen Error was 124 and points towards video hardware driver. I have Cleaned off all the old drivers and re installed fresh copies, but I am still getting the shutdowns.

Are there any know issues with AMD Display Drivers that I am missing? Is there possibly something in the Bios?

Thanks again for all your help.

    ITS STABLE...

For now anyway. I went into the BIOS and let it auto overclock. Once that was done, the system is rock solid. Not a crash in the last 48 hours with 3 long gaming sessions. Not sure what that did but it fixed it.

Thanks again for all your help.
