Post We want fan xpert 2 support for maximus IV boards

    Hi dear rog forum users
I have a maximus iv gene-z/gen3 motherboard and I have different size case fans
I have a high rpm pwm fan and two 20 cm fans (3pin) in my case but I cant set diffrent percentage for every fan
This is a VERY BIG problem for me
Can they (asus developers) release a bios update and make fan xpert 2 with maximus iv series boards?
    I think they can
If you can please do it
Sincerely all maximus iv mobo users I've met

Sorry for my bad english if it's bad

My Lamptron 8 channel fan controller, as well as my Aquaero 5 XT both have temperature monitoring > Fan speed threshold settings. I stopped using motherboard fan headers a long time ago, as they run the risk of pulling too much power and blowing motherboards...

Sounds interesting. I didn't notice the Fan Xpert 2 software existed. Would be a much more reasonable option for most than a $225 fan controller like SpoonerUK is pushing. If my $170 motherboard can do the same thing drawing less power, I'm all for it. On the same token, if you're looking at a $225 fan controller just for that purpose, I guess you might just as well put that money into a Maximus V of some sort instead.

Raja or another one will correct me, but is not Fan Xpert II design only for Series 7 motherboard like the Gene V ? and if I'm right it's hardware based, if so well get a Gene V because it will need more than a Bios tweaking. This is part of the game guys , you want new features, you buy new boards.

The Lamptron is only $70.... The Aquaero is more expensive, but that is really more pointed at watercooling rigs.

Just download it and install it haha.

Downloaded the v1.00.15 .zip from Softpedia, uninstalled FanXpert and installed FanXpert2, didn't even need to reboot..

Of course now I already have downloaded MVG AISuite from which I got the newest (?) V1.00.18. Works just fine.
