Geforce 301.24 Beta no 3d clocks or very low fps in all games?

I have installed the new 301.24 beta drivers, but when i tried playing Battlefield 3 or any other game my card would not enter 3D clocks and the games run at about 7fps. I have posted about this in the 301.24 beta thread at Guru3D and two users have the same problem. The one thing we have in common is we have a Single GTX580, so could anyone with a single GTX580 test the new drivers and see if it happens to you please it would be much appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

These drivers don't seem to cope very well with my GTX580 Matrix as well. After the installation, my overclock reset itself back to default and now I can't even change the core clock anymore, the only thing I can change is the FAN SPEED with ASUS GPU Tweak. Performance in games is absolutely horrible, in Shogun 2 I only get 6-10fps after a clean install. Like you said the card would not enter 3D clocks.

I reinstalled 296.10 and all is well again. I guess i'll wait for wqhl 300 drivers and by then hopefully the bugs will be worked out if i cant find a fix for the beta till then.

I found out on the nVidia forums that factory overclocked cards are affected by the low framerate bug with this driver set. The supposed fix is to downclock your videocard to vanilla GTX 580 clock speed 772mhz. I hope nvidia fixes this problem. I didnt get a matrix card just to run it at reference speed lol.

thanks for this info m8, will install these drivers again and downclock to 772 and see if they work should not be too long eta for new beta anyway so could live with 772mhz if it means these drivers works and can use fxaa

    Asus 560 Ti same problem

    Here some additional information:

I've the Asus 560 Ti Direct Cu II and installed the new beta driver. Problem: I can not overclock my card over 1000 Mhz as I did with previous drivers. Maximum is 1000 Mhz. Voltage and fans can be adjusted without problems.

Those having issues with underclocking/throttling, try this: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread...8-Beta-Drivers
