your wireless router needs to support a 5 ghz band, which most consumer routers do not.

My router supports a 5GHz band, but is just right beside my rig. So why bother, right? Lol. -_-

Can anyone school me on ASUS Q-Codes? If Q-Code "A0" is showing, does that mean the board is working properly? This is my first board that has POST/Q-Code LEDs.

    Hey Guys!

Got my build all done yesterday, loving it so far!
just having trouble with my RAM.
Im using a 2x4Gb gskill trident 2400 kit.
When i go into mem tweakit, the dram frequency is 1200 (i assume that is correct per stick)
but when i go into system information in the asus suite, it says the max bandwidth is 667?
not sure whats going on!! help!

oh so its the adapter itself? huh. i wouldve thought the adapter would pick up both bands...

Just curious does your router output both bands at the same time?

EDIT: i mean thought the adapter would pick up both bands and put them in one list as opposed to needing to be switched over. Sorry it was vague.

That's exactly what my router does. Haven't tried with the M5F if it does indeed to that, though.

A0 is normal afaik: basically if it's POSTed and there's a display, you're fine.
