My god thats a total fortune! That will convert into approx £350 GBP :S all the extra cost for half of the features of the FTW or the Sniper boards if this is the price its going to hit at retail I think I'll be going with the FTW board instead.

Perhaps ASUS has an agreement with EVGA for sending them a part of their customers XD

I really hope it's not coming over 350$ in Canada
even 350$ is insane.. for only a maximus

I payed 320€ for my rampage II Extreme..

Wow... $450+ in Canada is not going to do it for me. That's way overpriced in my opinion.

The Sniper board is $300, and the Z77 FTW is $330. I was expecting the M5F to be about the $350 price range.

What does it have over the Gene to justify a $150 price jump?

2 sata ports, one PCIE, a water pipe?

I could see $350 for the SKU that includes the ThunderFX, but it shouldn't be more than $300 for the board only.

I put the two boards side by side on the ASUS compare site, and I don't see that many differences.

Is there something I am missing?

I have been thinking the same thing, pepole are way to obssesive about water.

The main reason I'd rather wait for the M5F versus the Gene is I don't personally like the mATX form factor.

300$ should do it for the standard version.. everything above can't be really justified..
