How are you checking your multiplier movement under load? I assume your watching your multiplier under CPU Z and loading the system with Prime95, Super Pi, etc ?

Also, when using offset mode to OC, it's best to use By All Cores when adjusting your multiplier.

Yep using "By All Cores" - can be adjusted in OS
Multiplier check via CPU-Z and Prime 95
Vcore is adjusted via Offset and system is prime95 stable with these settings!
Hmmmm. I need to think on this one..
If you load BIOS defualts then awaking from stand by with working multipliers is ok...right?

Locking on a 12 multiplier coming out of sleep or stand by sounds like a Failed Overclock symptom which leads me to believe this still could be a general instability issue. Is the memory your have an X79 tuned kit? Have you tried rampage tweak mode 1. Perhaps bumping the VCCSA AND VTT?

Yep everything @stock and i dont have any probs and the multipler changes as ist should be After resume.
I already increased VCCSA and VTT
I also tried to keep the RAM @stock (1333) and still got the locking issue?!
I have the exact same issue. It feels like I've tried everything but the problem still persists.

hi there,
YEP - Multiplier is locked after applying your settings!!!
And no - no other settings changed except that I set CPU FAN RPM detection to "ignore" due to using a watercooled system....
So ist must be some "normal" setting in the BIOS that has nothing to do with the OC itself!!!!
I think the first milestone to a solution!
We want more than that milestone we want a solution.
But I do know what you mean.
Let me try and see if I can duplicate this behaviour. I need to pull out a motherboard and install the same OS. Think I have tried once before and could not do it. At least we have ticked one possible thing off the list.
