    Do I still have to play (test) or are you happy with the solution you have found?

    Hi there,

    sorry for the late answer but I decided to exchange both CPU and Board....and guess what?
    Still got the same probs - EXACTLY the same....

    So am I right when everything points to the RAM?

    Can you give me a definetely working quad channel 16GB recommendation?

    The bios file seems to be corrupted. After I updated (first time in windows, second time from bios) I received the message "WARNING! Bios recovery detected. Insert flash and so on. I had to switch back to my current bios.

    @HiVizMan

    Hi there - so....yesterday my alternative RAM Modules arrived. These are for the 1st try Corsair Venegance CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 4x4GB.
    The booklet reports these explicitly as working and tested RAM for this mobo - BUT: SAME (!) probs here.....multiplier keeps locked with optimized settings...

    So: I exchanged CPU, Mobo and RAM and still got the probs. So for me it CANT be hardware related?!
    Could you please test this again? I took these components out of the box and it didnt work and i CANT believe that I'm alone out here with this prob (except the other guys in this thread).

    I will receive some Gskill RAM on Monday and try this again....but I think without any luck...

    @Shamino

    Could you please up the BIOS again? This one is corrupt and will not work...

    Thx

    Atlas

    @HiVizMan

    so what does "alles klar" mean? Are you awaiting my test with the other RAM?
    Did you have any luck trying to get the problem reverse engineered at your system?

    I'm really thinking about getting rid of the RIVE and change to another manufacturer - BUT: the rive is the best board out there at the moment....so what to do?!
