They tested my motherboard and found nothing wrong with it. Will be getting it back next week. At least i got a brand new 3930K from Intel. Can't wait to test this new bios. Will post what happens.
Hi there,
so - first OC results are very promising.
I get the 3930 without any probs up to 4.5GHz @ 1.28VCore!
Great news....only the RAM makes some probs - currently running @1600MHz.
OC with standby is also working!!!
I think the prob is solved with this Bios!!!
Finally got my motherboard back. Got everything together, fired up with 1305 official bios and everything seems to be working very well. So basically the only new thing is my CPU, everything else stayed the same. Same RIVE mobo, same 32gb 2133 G.Skill set. Speedstep working , temps are fine, memory @ 2133 solid with all of the 32gb installed. I guess it was the CPU after all. Next step will be OC. I'll post later tonight.

Hi there,
@hivizman
yes please! I got a first drawback - after OC'ing to 4.5GHz and 1600MHz DDR-Speed I got an overclocking failed message after 5-6 standbys!
So....it is somehow working but obviously there is still some room to improve
I just dont understand what component is responsible for this?!
Starsie just got it working by exchanging his CPU - I did the same but still got the same probs?!
Hopefully we come to a solution here....
Hi again. So here i am writing this post from my machine.
3930K + Corsair H100 + 32gb G.Skill 2133 (8x4gb) + 1305 official bios + OC 4.6ghz @1.35v = STABLE!!!
Also got 2 x GTX680 SLI in this rig. I ran tests whole last night and so far i got no problems. Solid. So once again, for me it was just a bad CPU and replacing it solved the problem. Today i will try to OC all the way to 5ghz. I'll post what happens.
Happy face![]()
Stable @ 4.7ghz 1.32v. Just got blazing P17591 in 3DMark 11! HAPPY!

I got around to installing this BIOS and on the surface it seemed to have solved my problems!
System successfully went to sleep, awoke from sleep, and when awoken CPU core temperature readings read as normal (they were previously locked at 91C) and system was not locked at 12x multiplier.
Great news! Please let us know when this fix gets merged into the mainline BIOS releases.
Starsie - Are you testing those settings with Prime95, IBT or Aida?
I have serious doubts you're stable for more than a few hours (or minutes) with that low of a vcore setting..
If so, congrats. You have one of the best chips I've seen on these forums.
