ROG Gaming Mouse - was yours also bad?

Hi,

I purchased a G74SX and got the backpack and mouse included. It's one of those GX900 mouses. It looks really good but I can't for the life of me use it because it moves as soon as I click it. Even if the mouse is still, the cursor will move if I click. This makes the mouse quite useless.

Is this the case for anyone else? I don't want to RMA anything as that usually takes forever. I use the same mousepad as for my old optical mouse, but I borrowed another for a few minutes and the problem didn't appear.

Anyone that has run into this as well? Laser mouses are known to workon surfaces where opticals can't, so it doesn't make sense.

Hey I think there is two possibility here,
It's either your mouse is factory defect or the touch pad is still on
If it is the first one, just go back and exchange one
if it's the second one just simply turn off your touch pad by
pressing Fn-f9, I realize if I have my mouse and my touch pad on
my hand will randomly rub on it and make my cursor vibrate around:p

Hi CSCSPro,

It was neither of those. Obviously, the touchpad wasn't touched when I tested it.
However, the mouse pad had to be exchanged and now everything is fine! 🙂

Wikipedia claims Laser Mouse are *less* picky than Optical mouses, and Laser mouse will work on any surface that a optical mouse can - in this case this wasn't true.

In any case, all is well now. Thanks for your time, CSCSPro.
