If both cards running at a single state are giving the same problem, then it points to the motherboard. I find it highly unlikely he has two defective cards with the exact same defect.

At that point, trying the second BIOS isn't a terrible idea considering that it is obvious somewhere within the motherboard is causing display issues.
Mate I think it is a good idea - heck I hope it works. Sorry if I made it sound like I thought it was daft. Not intended mate.

To the OP please do try and get your cards into another board, if at all possible.

I take it you have your board at default settings. F5 and enter. No overclock what so ever, not even ram.

No offense taken man - i know you mean well. That being said, i agree with you 100% about checking the cards on another board. Other option being to try a different card altogether on the RIVE.

    Best of Luck friend.

The 'silly question' was of the solid 'red' indicators kind.. I should have been clearer.
ALL the ROG boards have their own 'light personalities' .. to my shagrin I personally
do not have one of each.

And Borkaman, with all due respect, So to be perfectly clear,
There are Absolutely NO Silly Questions Here.
Some may lead to other questions .. but none are ever considered Silly.
Now there are from time to time a few silly answers .. of which I may be a Master. hahaha

And again, with all due respect .. although it is helpful to know the model. The question
was ... do you know it is working properly ?

You will get there....thank you for your patience....enjoy.c.

You can plug the Monitor into your friends laptop they do have a Video Connector on them and that will verify the Monitor. I have seen this before but I don't think your going to be able to fix it unless you have electronics skills. The power unit inside the monitor has Failing Capacitors and or a transformer but mostly it's capacitors that cause it. If you have the skill replace all of the Capacitors there and some of them are going to be hard to find. The last time I ran into this took me two weeks of waiting on parts.

Now if the Monitor proves good on your friends laptop then we can take it to the next stage and yes your going to need another Machine for the Testing.
