Thread: RIVE 00 Code

    RIVE 00 Code

Motherboard came today, was so excited. So I've got it up and running, installing windows, reboot. 00 Code

I've tried everything I can think of, single ram, reseat processor, clear bioses, switch bioses, ROG Bios flash. I put all the same hardware back into an ASrock X79 Fatality and it works just fine. Is there some secret to fixing this?

    G.Skill 1866 Memory
    Corsair 1000W HX Power supply

    Do a long CMOS clear.

Take all the hardware out. Which you have allready.

    Remove the battery.

Clear CMOS and leave over night.

Boot with one stick of ram in the morning should be back again.

PS I take it you tried the Mem OK button?

I have not tried the MEMok button. I am seriously just boggled because the manual says that code is unused and it was working perfectly fine and falls flat on it's face. When you say all hardware, do you mean processor as well, because I currently have nothing in it at all.

Also which ram slot should I use?

I also have slow mode off and the LN2 mode disabled. They were previously on and it doesn't seem to work regardless of their setting. Changing this is NOT what set the board in to this mode.

Take it all out. Your board should ideally be laying atop your box with not one connection or item attached.

Remove the CPU - when you boot in the morning just have one stick of ram in the furtherest slot from the CPU makes no difference which side.

    Much appreciated, sir.

Any clue what this is or why it happens? Also, what bios do you recommend currently?

I use 1005 still. Works for me so I do not see any reason to change it - I bench competitively you see and if it works I do not mess with it. That is my motto. I have learnt that lesson at my cost far to often.

But I am hearing good things about the latest BIOS that Shamino released (official BIOS)

Thanks again so much for your prompt replies. Any clue what causes this?

Well I did not let it sit all night but since last time we've talked and I am still getting the 00 code. I've tried about 5 different bioses using the ROG flash with no luck. I will let it sit over night but this is just plain rediculous. I know all of the other hardware works in another X79 board.

RMA the board mate - be done with the hassle.

It could just be you got a dud. It does happen.
