    m2n68-am se2 bios flashing

I received an Asus m2n68-am se2 mobo on an rma and now I'm going to use it to update my wife's PC. The problem is, the bios version of the board is 0701 and for the processor that's going onto it I need bios v. 13xx, the latest version being v.1409

My question is: can I flash the mobo with the new cpu on it, or do I have to find a supported chip first , do the flash and then put in the new chip?

The new cpu is an AMD Phenom IIx6 1045T

    Thanks in advance,

    Larry

Your motherboard has EZ Flash which means you can flash update without booting into an OS. If the board will post then you can update but I'm not sure if your new chip will even post or not.
