    First HTPC build....for me

    As some of you read its not an Asus PC but here goes

    Specs.
    Biostar A880GZ AM3+ mATX board with HDMI out (tiny board just a hair bigger than a iTX board)
    8 GB G-skill RipJaw DDR3 10666 (2X4GB)
    160 GB Toshiba 2.5 SATA II 5400 RPM
    Lite-On DVD Rom (read only)
    AMD Athlon II X3 460 @ 3.4gHz 1.5 MB total cache
    Apex Super Case DM-318 SFF case
    will be running windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit

    To Flash back to 1xxx.ROM, Rename 1xxx.rom to ERALL.ROM and Use USB Flashback

    Tidy bro - have you ever tried to use XBMC as your platform. I have one machine that does not really have a visible OS at all. That HTPC boots into XBMC and that is that.

    No I have not tried that I will have to read up on it as im always open to lern new things. do you have a link to some info?

    wish I could do more with the cables but as you see theres not much room in that case as it is.

    so far there is nothing i can complain about with the board I know its not a Asus product but for what it has and how it runs I would recommend this set up for a HTPC any day. total cost is just under 300 bux less the O.S

    If you could tie that yellow SATA cable from the optical drive to the power cable underneath, the interior look would be just perfect. Nice job! BTW, did you gave a name to this built?

    no not as of yet have not given it much thought yet as im haveing a problem with my main PC and the new vid cards for some reason it crashes when running 3D mark 11 on the final benchmark test
    But im open to and thoughts on the new build Ideas welcome.
