    Xfx 6850 xxx edition

I need to literally open the plastic cover of my GPU in order to clean the internal dust out.
    http://xfxforce.com/en-gb/Products/G...685X-ZNDC.aspx

I unscrewed the fan (which is still attached by the wire. But I want to remove the card plastic cover.
I'm stuck and afraid to break anything.

Before anybody says anything about my cards, I have 2 of these with my CHVF.

    Anybody please?

    Thanx but not enough.
I removed 2 screws on the back of the card...now I hear something loose inside the card.
I don't know what screws to remove...but the worst is how to undock the plastic cover...afraid to force the thing out.

I don't have one of those cards to tell for sure, but with the last XFX card I had, there were 4 spring loaded screws plus about 6 around the edges. and on a little farther inwards that held a small Heat Spreader over one of the MOSFETS. Also look on the Back Plate there are another two there that hold it together. Once you have all of that removed it should be simple to pop the Fan Assembly off of it and then you can look for the screws and or Mounting pins that hold the Plastic Shell to the Heat Sink/Fan and remove them. On the Plus side you'll find out what got loose and can fix that easily!....Good Luck!

    I did come right!
The first 2 screws I removed was the MOFET Heat Spreader...
I forgot the 4 spring loaded screws...or I was afraid to remove them rather.
I didn't replace the thermal paste...still looks alright.
